Legal Executive
Julian is a Cornishman, born and bred! Whilst still at school he joined the Territorial Army in Truro. He then went on to attend university at Nottingham Trent, where he completed his Degree in Humanities and the post graduate Law Society Common Professional Examination and was also able at the same time to be Commissioned as an officer in the TA.
After completing his post graduate studies he returned to Cornwall and worked for a local law firm as a General Civil Litigator until he was head hunted to become the Senior Clerk of the County’s only barristers chambers!
Julian qualified as a Legal Executive in December 2000 and went on to specialise in Personal Injury law; dealing with both group litigation and individual clients. He has experience of Claimant and Defendant work.
Julian is a talented, experienced professional lawyer. He has great experience in dispute resolution of all types, especially in the areas of Personal Injury, Clinical and Professional Negligence, Contract, Land, Housing, and Employment Law. Julian has also undertaken his own advocacy in both Court and Tribunal cases.
Julian is, through his TA training a qualified trainer and has delivered training on behalf of the Army on a wide variety of military subjects and to his work colleagues on legal issues. He has also given presentations to MPs, Local Government and business leaders.
In his spare time Julian remains an active member of the TA and specialises in Resilience having been mobilised to help handle the Gloucester Floods of 2007 and the floods in Cornwall in 2011. He is currently training for the 2012 Olympics!
