If you only go to one employment law seminar this year. you had better make it this one!
On 1 October 2010 the Equality Act will come into force. Businesses in the county will undoubtedly be affected by the changes and so it is essential that employers are aware of the key changes whether they employ one person or thousands!
Follett Stock recognise that the last thing you have time for when running your business are yet more changes to employment law so this workshop will explain the key issues you need to know this autumn and will provide practical clear guidance on what all employers should be doing to adjust to this.
This half day workshop will be presented by Verity Slater, head of the employment team at Follett Stock. Verity is a well known employment specialist whose talks are renowned for being practical, clear and stimulating. Also presenting will be Rachel Bateman.Rachel is an employment solicitor with many years experience and particular knowledge of the Cornish business community. The third presenter is Chris Lingard.Chris is managing partner at Follett Stock and previous winner of Partner of the Year at the London Lawyer Award’s. Chris is a Solicitor Advocate with a reputation for solving complex and often high value disputes and has extensive experience in disability discrimination cases.
We also hope to have a representative from the Equality and Human Rights Commission to speak about the new Equality Act.
The seminar will take place at the Hall for Cornwall in Truro on 30 September 2010 starting at 9.30am. Refreshments and a buffet lunch will be provided.
