Dragons & Mentors!

Associate Partners Penny Paddle and Lucy Morgan start the year by volunteering to assist others in business. 

Penny has become a mentor on the Empowering Smart Women scheme.  This scheme is being run by Penwith & Truro College and is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring business women around the county to receive bespoke assistance and qualifications in business management and enterprise.  The aim of the programme is to encourage women to break through the "glass ceiling" and reach their potential.

Penny said "I am very much looking forward to helping the women signed up to the scheme.  Cornwall has a high percentage of female entrepeneurs who have some amazing ideas and a real determination to succeed. It will be a fantastic opportunity to be able to work with them to help them achieve their goals"

The Empowering Smart Women programme is supported by Convergence funding and the only cost is the small registration fee.


Lucy Morgan has been invited to become a Dragon in a future event Penwith & Truro College are planning for their students.  The event is set to be gruelling as the college plan to run an event which combines the renowned TV programmes "The Apprentice" with "Dragon's Den".  Lucy will be on a panel with other key players from Cornwall's business community to judge teams of students who will present their ideas in the hope of not hearing those dreaded words "You are fired".

Lucy said "I am looking forward to putting the young entrepreneurs through their paces and woe betide anyone who hasn't done their homework.  Follett Stock litigators' reputation as the Rottweilers of the South West wasn't won for nothing".
