SPRING EMPLOYMENT WORKSHOPS 2012

 

Employment Law Update: What’s New? What’s to come?

 

The Employment Team at Follett Stock are pleased to announce the 2012 Spring round of workshops to keep you up to date and to provide practical tips on Employment Law and  HR issues.

 

These workshops will look at the other main legislative changes since our last update seminar in Autumn 2011 and discuss a number of interesting changes with practical impacts on businesses of all sizes. This will include coverage of the following:

 

  • Change to qualifying period for unfair dismissal;
  • Changes to Employment Tribunal process;
  • Equality update: cases and proactive action by the Commission;
  • Holiday pay: rules on carrying it forward;

 
  • Protected conversations: can you have them? What are the risks;
  • Overtime and Opting out of the Working Time Regulations. How does it work;
  • Review of key cases on the last 6 months and the practical impact on employers.

The workshops are designed to be small and informal, ensuring that we are able to give each delegate our full attention in relaxed and casual surroundings. We welcome questions and encourage participants to share experiences of how they have found these aspects working in practice.

 

Workshops will start at 8:00am and will finish at approximately 10:15am.  Coffee and croissants will be provided.
